Every girl dreams of the one. We meet one and fall in love almost instantaneously. If you're like me, you love hopelessly. They can never do wrong in your eyes. Even when they do, your heart will not allow you to hold onto those wrongs, because your love burns fiercely enough to consume them.
Sad thing is, the wrongs are a vicious cycle...they chip away at your being, your esteem and leave you feeling helpless. If you do not realise it, you wake up one day wondering why your relationship is sour. You blame yourself for the disharmony, you wonder how you mess things up...you make yourself the villain, your relationship the victim. What we need to learn as girls, as emotional as we can get, is to put emotions second and let logic be our guiding light. We should learn to appreciate our flaws and vulnerabilities but do not let anyone make you feel any less human.
We are imperfect, but so is the next person. We make mistakes, so does the next person. Do not allow your hopeless love make you feel like it is acceptable to let another drain the life and the joy out of you. You make you happy, embrace and love yourself enough to defend yourself.
